SYNX

Sheath-Core Bonding Technology

SYNX is a physical treatment applied to the rope during manufacturing that creates a close integration between sheath and core. Unlike conventional approaches that rely on a single die for multiple sizes, SYNX uses a dedicated die set for each size, ensuring precise control during the braiding process. This prevents the sheath from migrating independently of the core — a phenomenon known as sheath slippage that reduces rope lifespan and safety.

Sheath slippage causes bunching that creates uneven diameter and feeds poorly through devices

Slipped sheaths expose core fibers to abrasion, UV, and contamination — accelerating degradation

Better force distribution between sheath and core means the entire rope cross-section shares the load

Extends service life significantly in high-friction applications like rope access and tree care

The rope passes through a sizing die, where it is uniformly compressed inward. The gaps between the core and the sheath are compacted, leaving no room for relative movement. The compression increases friction and prevents core–sheath slippage during use.
