ARMBURY's TPS (Thermoplastic Polyester Sheath) static ropes use a polyester sheath over a standard nylon core. Polyester sheaths offer better resistance to UV degradation, moisture, and chemical exposure compared to nylon sheaths — relevant in chemical plants, offshore environments, and outdoor applications with high UV exposure. The tradeoff is slightly higher stiffness. The ARMBURY STATIC 10.5 TPS and STATIC 11 TPS are available for applications where sheath durability in harsh environments is a priority.
